TRADITION

Perched on a hillside in the Cilento lies the ancient village of Aquara . Founded by Greek colonists resented the presence of many local people , including the Etruscans , Sunnis , and Lucan . The Roman presence was well-documented thanks to the discovery of archaeological remains relating to their settlements .

About Panificio L'arte del pane

The churchyard of St. Nicholas is the backdrop of the entire valley , among  ancient olive trees and figures of swallows in the sky. In the air there is the smell of freshly baked bread: it is the scent of Aquara tradition . The Ancient bakery “Arte del pane”, run by Luigi and his family , with a simple act takes us back in time, producing, in a traditional way and according to local tradition , bread , biscuits and sweets  with a unique flavour and an ancient history.
